Firmament
Spin a sphere of all 31,102 King James Bible verses and land on one when you need it.
About this build
My mom always said: if you ever have problems, open the Bible to a random page and be inspired. Firmament turns that into a website. Every one of the 31,102 verses of the King James Bible is a dot on a spinning sphere, colored by section (Law, History, Wisdom, Prophets, Gospels, Acts, Epistles, Revelation). Press Inspire me and the sphere spins in a swirl of stardust and lands on a passage, weighted toward the most-loved verses. You can also drag the sphere and tap any star to read it, open the full chapter, or copy the passage. A small planet off to the side holds the 14 books of the Apocrypha from the 1611 King James; click it and the two swap places in an orbit.
Built in one long session with Claude Code: a single HTML file with plain JavaScript and a 2D canvas, no framework. The whole Bible text is embedded so it works offline, with dark mode, a collapsible side rail on desktop, and an add-to-home-screen flow for phones. Hosted on Netlify.
