AI Jewelry Designer — Joyería HAGO

A 1970 artisan jeweler built its own AI design tool with Claude: describe an idea, we engrave it on sterling silver.

AI Jewelry Designer — Joyería HAGO

About this build

Joyería HAGO is a family-run artisan jewelry shop in Málaga, Spain, founded in 1970. This project — an in-store "AI designer" — is the public face of a much bigger transformation: Claude has revolutionized how our whole company works.

The AI designer lets a customer type an idea in plain words ("a buffalo with glasses", "a heart with two names") and get a unique design that we then laser-engrave onto sterling silver. The image generation is handled by Gemini, but the entire module — and everything around it — was built with Claude.

And it didn't stop there. None of us are software engineers, yet with Claude we've built more than 10 custom modules and internal tools that now run the business: our own CRM to manage customers and orders, a program that drives our laser engraving machine, plus assorted automations for our PrestaShop store and day-to-day operations. Tools we always assumed were out of reach for a small traditional workshop.

That's the real story here: a craft business founded in 1970, with no technical team, now shipping real software to production — from a customer-facing AI feature to the systems that run our workshop — thanks to Claude

Lessons learned

You don't need to be a developer to ship a real feature anymore. Describing what we wanted clearly to Claude mattered more than knowing how to code.

Advice to others

Start with one small, real use case your customers actually want, and let Claude handle the technical part.
