Sonora

Sonora started because I couldn't find a local music player I actually liked. Most options felt outdated, both visually and in terms of UX, and I wanted something closer to the polish of Spotify/Apple Music but for files I already own.

The feature I cared about most was synced, karaoke-style lyrics: Sonora fetches time-synced lyrics from LRCLib automatically and displays them line by line as the track plays. There's also an optional Genius integration that fills in missing cover art, artist bios and lyrics during a library scan, plus a built-in tag editor so I never need a separate tool to fix metadata.
